The traditional Vickers Pedestal hardness machine can now be upgraded with a new ocular and measuring system. Demonstrations can be arranged.
The Vickers Pedestal hardness tester can now be upgraded to stay in conformance with ASTM E19 and ISO 6507. This upgrade completely removes the old ocular system and replaces it with a new zoom ocular with magnification options, a 3MP camera and measuring software.
The software has several measurement modes - automatic, diagonal measurement, four point measurement & two point measurement.
Set up requires the software to have what objective lenses are available and what loads are available. Once set up the operator only has to select which options they are using.
Calibration is simple using a stage micrometer to identify the distance being observed but the vickers pedestal.
You also have the ability to export any images for record maintenance and create a report in a Word or Excel with a hardness profile graph and case depth calculation
